Introducing Elicit Alerts

Today we introduce Elicit Alerts, a new way to stay informed about relevant research with AI.

  • Governments and philanthropists need to be aware of new evidence for or against social programs
  • Pharmaceutical companies need to learn about promising molecules and biological targets as they emerge
  • CPG companies need to know when new research supports or refutes their safety claims

Existing tools don’t work. Automated alerts via Google Scholar or PubMed are difficult to set up and monitor, and often return noisy results that waste researcher time.

Elicit Alerts solve these problems with AI, allowing you to stay aware of the latest research, without the noise.

How it works

Ask a research question. Optionally, apply filters based on journal quality, study type, or keywords.

Create alerts with simple, natural language research questions instead of complex keywords alerts with boolean operators.

After creating an Alert, Elicit will show you relevant papers from the past year to help you refine your research question. Each paper is ranked by a relevance score along with an overview of the paper adapted to your research question.

These relevance scores are the "magic" of Elicit Alerts. We generate them using the same fine-tuned language models that we use for Systematic Review screening, and we validated them with the help of expert researchers. Use these scores to help you skip reading papers that won’t update your views.

New papers will be added to this list as they’re published and marked as “unread” so you can focus your time on new, relevant research. Use "instant email alerts" to get notified about important new papers as they come out.

As you find papers that are useful, you can easily add them to your library for later analysis in Elicit or download a CSV of all the new papers.

Building an AI research ecosystem

Elicit Reports and Systematic Review enable researchers to rapidly summarize preexisting evidence on any topic.

Now, with Elicit Alerts, researchers can stay ahead of new evidence as well.

Elicit Alerts are available to Elicit Pro, Team, and Enterprise users.
